Predatory ladybugs, such as Cryptolaemus montrouzieri, may provide some
suppression of high pink hibiscus mealybug, Maconellicoccus hirsutus (Green),
pest populations, but are not expected to provide adequate control
of lower populations because the beetles require large numbers
of mealybugs to survive.
