The color patterns of the Florida tree snail," Liguus fasciatus (Muller) are extremely variable. At this time, there are 58 named color forms in south Florida and the Florida Keys (Davidson 1965; Jones 1979; Diesler 1982), with others in Cuba. This animal is generally found on smooth-barked trees in native hammocks.
